Vitamins for public space. Mobile kit workshop in Nagano, Japan

Patrizia Di Monte and Ignacio Grávalos invited guest to Machihata week, Shinshu University, Nagano, Japan.

Since 2016, the «Sakura Laboratory» of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Shinshu University has been working on the «Machihata Project», which works on additional uses according to the real needs of the neighboorhood and region, targeting three vacant lots in the Zenkoji Monzen area of Nagano City. Professor Sakura Laboratory promotes this project to establish a new utilization model for vacant lands that contributes to society and to the environment more than the economy. The period is 7 days from August 21st to 27th, creating various new «connections».

Ignacio Grávalos and Patrizia Di Monte architects have been invited to a seminary on urban regeneration at Chiba University and to develop strategical guidelines with local community in Tateyama.

Giornate riuso temporaneo. Seminario Internazionale e Workshop, tavolo cittadino, evento di 5 giorni con proprietà pubblica, privati, associazioni culturali, cittadini, arte ed esperti internazionali per confrontare progettualità e disponibilità di spazi nel territorio del Comune di Milano e progettare la nuova vocazione di 9 spazi in abbandono o sottoutilizzati di proprietà pubblica da riattivare con Inviti alla creatività aperti alla cittadinanza. Tavoli tematici su: consumo di suolo, riuso temporaneo, autocostruzione. Le tavole rotonde e seminari con testimoni internazionali come – Urban Catalyst di Berlino, Jaap Schoufour/ Hoofd Bureau Broedplaatsen di Amsterdam e Patrizia Di Monte+Ignacio Gravalos di Zaragoza si terranno dal 25 al 28 settembre nello spazio Patio della Facoltà di Aiapp Architettura del Paesaggio Politecnico di Milano in via Ampère 2
