Patrizia Di Monte and Ignacio Grávalos invited guest to Machihata week, Shinshu University, Nagano, Japan.

Since 2016, the «Sakura Laboratory» of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Shinshu University has been working on the «Machihata Project», which works on additional uses according to the real needs of the neighboorhood and region, targeting three vacant lots in the Zenkoji Monzen area of Nagano City. Professor Sakura Laboratory promotes this project to establish a new utilization model for vacant lands that contributes to society and to the environment more than the economy. The period is 7 days from August 21st to 27th, creating various new «connections».
